The GunSim.com Ballistics Engine offers a comprehensive solution for hunters and precision shooters. It features detailed calculations including bullet drop, windage adjustments in inches and click values, lead compensation, velocity, and energy assessments. The built-in rangefinding tool utilizes MilDot measurements for accurate distance estimation. Support is provided for uphill and downhill shooting angles, and atmospheric conditions are configurable to simulate varying environments. Advanced factors such as Gyroscopic Spin Drift and the Coriolis Effect are integrated to enhance accuracy.

The system includes an extensive database containing thousands of bullet types and loaded ammunition profiles, along with a configurable ballistics table and a personal data storage feature. Users can select measurement units such as yards or meters, and adjust input scales between Mil/MOA and inches or centimeters. Ballistic coefficient options include G1 or G7 profiles.

The interface is designed for ease of use with a one-handed operation that updates results dynamically as data is entered. Dual atmospheric condition screens facilitate zeroing in different seasons—winter and summer—allowing users to account for environmental variations. Recent updates introduce a Chart display and a Reticle View for comprehensive visualization.

With over 2000 bullet profiles available, users can perform multiple ballistic coefficient calculations derived from actual drop data. Additionally, data backup capabilities are offered via the GunSim website, ensuring data security and easy migration.
